After the Atlanta Falcons released Grams Jarrett at the beginning of this season in a salary cleaning movement, it didn’t take a long time to find a new home. He quickly signed a three -year contract and $ 42.75 million to join the new unit of the Dennis Allen defensive coordinator with the Chicago Bears.
“It’s an exciting moment,” said Jarrett, through the official team website. “I am ready for a new challenge. I feel that the work I have done in Atlanta is never finishing, but it served in its purpose as to my time with the hawks. The things and the lessons I learned in my hometown, I want to take it to Chicago and be my best, and I am excited by a new challenge.”
The 10 -year -old veteran comes from a season in which he achieved 53 tacle, 9.0 tacle for loss, 12 field seafood blows and 2.5 catches. He has been retired from his consecutive Pro Bowl campaigns in 2019 and 2020, but since then he continued playing at a fairly high level. Now, he will play in a new city, in a new defense and with some new teammates.
“I think the perfect game occurred when I had the opportunity to join this team,” said Jarrett, through the NFL Media. “Being part of something that will begin here is special. Being someone who wants to be in a position to compete for championships, encourage younger boys around me and really share my experience and my hunger for greatness for others who want to achieve it. I am in a special place at a special moment, at a special moment where I are supposed to be.”
The Bears are starting again with the new chief coach Ben Johnson and his staff, so there is certainly the opportunity to be at the beginning of something special. However, that has been the case with the Bears, because apparently they are always starting again. Time will say if this version of the restart meets the promise that Jarrett sees for it.
