Fellow fighters Crystal Palace will seek advice from Molineux after Saturday (17:30 GMT) before Wolves’ host base club Southampton check the pace.
O’Neil will focus on back-to-back wins in those two games, although he stated after the Brighton draw that they were not “must-win” games.
“I know there will be a lot of talk about the upcoming games,” added the Wolves boss.
“They are not ‘must wins’. Crystal Palace are good, they spent £30m on a striker [Eddie Nketiah] from Arsenal; Eze is pretty good. We need to be prepared in every game.
“We handled it lately as a game we would have liked to win. Palace would be the same. Southampton would be the same. Southampton will be difficult when they arrive: they reserve the ball incessantly, they have a really prepared way of playing.
“There will be challenges in every game because that is the level of the Premier League. But we keep going. The boys will never stop.”
“Coming back late gives us all a boost. It’s just what we deserved.”
