How to get to the Great Reef in Fisch

Holding the mythical grade Grand Reef Guardian in Fisch.

The Great Reef is located behind Forsaken Shores and Roslit Island. You won’t see any signs or map markers for this one until you’re more or less there.

Head towards the entrance to the Northern Expedition and turn right as you approach to put Forsaken Shores and Roslit Island on your left and right respectively. Sail your boat between them and continue straight and soon you will see a ??? marker that appears over the water.

There is a chance that loading this area for the first time will cause the game to pause (or, in our case, a complete disconnection), but this should go away after the first instance.

How to complete the Great Reef Bestiary

The Great Reef Bestiary completed at Fisch.

While almost all of the 8 fish introduced in the Grand Reef update can be caught quickly with most mid-tier rods, you’ll want to use bait or low-luck rods to fish for the lower quality catches, such as the Reef Minnow and Coral. Chromis.

You won’t need to use crab cages at all. All you’ll get are rocks and driftwood that way. You can greatly speed up completion of the bestiary by using each fish’s unique preferred bait. They have no preference regarding the time of day.

Here’s the best way to complete the Great Reef Bestiary in Fisch by casting your line from the main island:

  • reef minnow
  • Coral Guard
  • coral chromis
  • reef goby
  • glass napoleon
  • reef parrotfish
  • Coral Emperor
  • Great Guardian of the Reef

In the end, we caught all but one fish, the Reef Minnow, within 20 to 30 minutes of the start, completing the Great Reef bestiary in about half an hour.

We used the Heavenly Rod to catch the mythical and legendary catches quickly, but we managed even the Grand Reef Guardian on one or two reels with both the Carbon Rod and the Steady Rod, suggesting that bait really is the best way forward to target levels. low. rare fish

How to start and complete the Grand Reef mission in Fisch

The Grand Reef mission in Fisch begins the day after the update is released. Check back around 1:00 pm GMT on January 5 to find out how to complete it and the rewards available for doing so.

Since Grand Reef has a stone door at the bottom, it’s safe to assume that the Grand Reef questline will lead to the Atlantis update scheduled for January 25.
