Final Fantasy Producer Says Square Plans to Release Games Simultaneously on Xbox in the Future

Ultimate Myth maker Naoki Yoshida has stated that Sq. Enix plans to release video games simultaneously on Xbox in the future.

In an interview with 4Gamer for Fantasian Neo Long, Yoshida, known to fans as ‘Yoshi-P’, said that Sq. plans to launch video games on all platforms simultaneously “more and more.”

“Of course, we want you to play it a lot on other platforms as well,” he said. “This time, we will also launch the Xbox Series X|S version at the same time.

“In the future, Square Enix titles will increasingly be released simultaneously on each platform, but as we are close to the first release, we would like Xbox users to play it as well.”

Before this life, Yoshida stated that he would love to release Ultimate Myth 16 on Xbox platforms.

During an interview with Video Games, Yoshida was asked if he could bargain with any information regarding a possible abandonment of the game on Microsoft consoles.

“Of course, we announced the PC version of the game, so for the Xbox version, we want to release it on Xbox,” he said. “But when it comes to details like when the game will be available and so on, we are not in a position to be able to share anything.

“But, of course, I want to say that it’s not that there’s no hope, and we really want to achieve it,” he added. “So players should not give up on their hopes.”

Ultimate Myth 16 is one of several new PS5 exclusives that failed to satisfy Square. Enix’s gross sales expectations caused the writer to announce plans to “shift to a cross-platform strategy.”
