Two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning, former defensive backs Luke Kuechly and Terrell Suggs, and prolific tight end Antonio Gates are among the players who advanced to the then-level in voting for the category. of the 2025 Professional Football Status Hall. .
The Hall on Wednesday presented the 50 Fashion Week applicants who emerged from the intact list of 167 who were then voted on through a newly created selection committee. The list includes eight players in their first year of eligibility and 10 players who were finalists at the end of the year but did not receive much help.
The general variety committee will then narrow the list of nominees to twenty-five semi-finalists in approximately four weeks. Then, 15 finalists will be chosen for the annual gathering before the Super Bowl that will build elegance intact. Players must obtain 80% of the votes to enter and between 3 and 5 players will participate as modern week applicants.

The group of hopefuls in their first year of eligibility was known for Manning, Kuechly, Suggs and postseason kicking hero Adam Vinatieri. The others were two key contributors to Seattle’s Super Bowl-winning team in the 2013 season: running back Marshawn Lynch and defensive back Earl Thomas; two-time All-Pro quarterback Yanda; and San Francisco has long left to face Joe Staley.
Gates and defensive lineman Jared Allen lead the group of finalists returning after finishing the year along with receivers Torry Holt and Reggie Wayne; offensive linemen Willie Anderson and Jahri Evans; defensive backs Darren Woodson, Eric Allen and Rodney Harrison; and operating again on Fred Taylor.
Manning will look to follow his brother Peyton into the Hall after a standout career with the Pristine York Giants. Manning was selected first overall in the 2004 draft and spent his entire career in Pristine York. He led the Giants to a disappointing victory over the undefeated Pristine England Patriots in the Super Bowl following the 2007 season, throwing a game-winning touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress in the final snub.
He led another backward TD force to disenchant Tom Brady and the Patriots four years ago. Manning is one of 13 quarterbacks to have won more than one Super Bowl and 8 of the 9 who are running back eligible will be inducted.
Best Jim Plunkett has already been dropped along with newer players like Brady, Ben Roethlisberger and Patrick Mahomes, who are ineligible. Plunkett has been difficult in voting for older applicants.
Manning was a four-time Pro Bowler but never made an All-Pro or led the league in a major statistical division in a season, but he finished his career with 57,023 passing yards and 366 TDs.
His best possible moments have been in those two postseason runs. Manning joined Brady (5), Mahomes (3), Joe Montana (3), Bart Starr (two) and Terry Bradshaw (two) as the only winners of Super Bowl MVP awards.
Kuechly and Suggs were some of the top defensive players in their week with Kuechly voted the top defensive player in 2013 and Suggs in 2011.
Kuechly’s career was temporary but impactful. Carolina’s 2012 first-round pick was a five-time All-Pro in his eight-year career with seven Pro Bowl nods and one All-Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
During his eight-year career, Kuechly led all NFL linebackers in tackles (1,090), sacks (26), interceptions (18) and passes defended (66).
Suggs was one of the league’s leading rushers during his 17-year career, and his 139 sacks ranked eighth as the best mark possible since they became a respectable statistic in 1982.
Suggs had seven double-digit sack seasons in his 16 seasons with Baltimore, including 14 in 2011, when he was voted the league’s top defensive player and led the NFL with seven forced fumbles.
He was named All-Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2003 and helped the Ravens win the Super Bowl in the 2012 season. He completed his career with Kansas Town, where he helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl in the 2019 season.
Vinatieri was one of the greatest sack kickers in NFL history, becoming successful outfield targets in the first two Super Bowl titles during the Pristine England dynasty.
He helped create the run with some of the biggest kicks of the tournament: a 45-yarder in the snow to force overtime in the Tuck Rule tournament against the Raiders in the 2001 divisional round. He made the winning kick in overtime and the next 48-yard collision in the final plays of a 20-17 victory in Super Bowl XXXVI against the Rams.
He then had a 41-yard run two years later to give the Patriots a 32-29 victory in Super Bowl XXXVIII against Carolina. Vinatieri also won Super Bowls in 2004 with Pristine England and in the 2006 season with Indianapolis.
Vinatieri is the NFL’s career leader in numbers (2,673) and scored outfield goals (599) during a 24-year career with Pristine England and Indianapolis. He also leads all players with 56 field goals and 238 points in the postseason.
Gates was a three-time All-Pro and finished his career with 955 receptions for 11,841 yards and an NFL record for tight ends with 116 landing receptions.
Allen was a four-time All-Pro and finished his career with 136 sacks, including a league-leading 22 in 2011 for Minnesota.
