A player of Elden Ring posts a video of their strange death while battling the Beast Clergyman in the Crumbling Farum Azula.
The Beast Clergyman in the Crumbling Farum Azula hilariously caused one Elden Ring player to lose their life. The Beast Clergyman’s first phase was successfully completed by the player, but he tragically perished shortly after in an unanticipated manner. One of the hardest boss battles in the game is this one.
One of the late-game areas that becomes accessible after committing a mortal sin by using the Forge of the Giants to burn down the Erdtree is the Crumbling Farum Azula. Players of Elden Ring are well-known for this area’s platforming and its abundance of dragons to slay. The area’s main boss is well-known to many players, but not everyone has figured out all of its tricks. Take, for instance, the battle against the Dragonlord Placidusax’s hidden boss. There is no space or time in the Crumbling Farum Azula. Because of this, players may practically run into the Beast Clergyman simultaneously here and in Caelid.
An Elden Ring player with the username DaddyPingu2874 demonstrated their unusual and somewhat comical method of passing away during the battle with the Beast Clergyman in the video that was uploaded to Reddit. The attack in the video is made with the Bloodhound Fang, a curved sword with a unique weapon art that allows the user to backflip while swinging the sword and then dash forward for a second strike. After several hits, this attack easily knocks down a boss due to its high poise damage.Until they inflict enough poise damage to create a window for a critical hit on the boss, the player dances around the arena dodging attacks. The cutscene for the Beast Clergyman’s second phase was started when they finally dealt the critical hit, but DaddyPingu2874 instantly died as a result. To view the complete link, go here.

The player was teleported to the front of the adversary to launch the attack as soon as the critical hit animation began. The player floated off the arena and remained in midair until the animation was finished because the Beast Clergyman was so close to the edge of the platform. They were killed as a result of this just as the second phase got started.
The player posted about their rather unfortunate fate on Reddit under the title “Gotta love these moments” rather than being upset. Elden Ring players are accustomed to dying strangely; in fact, many have grown to appreciate the illogical ways a character can pass away in the Lands Between. Reddit is flooded with videos of players posting ridiculous ways their Elden Ring character perished. These videos make for amusing shareable moments.
The game Elden Ring provides a lot more than just gameplay. The game is much less painful and more enjoyable when you enjoy the wacky Elden Ring animations and smile after failing.
