Elden Ring Nightreign will allow players to play in three-player co-op or as a single player, but not in a duo.
Announced on stage at The game Awards, Elden Ring: Nightreign will allow multiple players to take on bosses in cooperative gameplay.
Speaking to IGN, game director Junya Ishizaki said that while the game can be played in both single-player and three-player co-op, it cannot be played as a duo.
“The game is designed to be played in a team of three people, but you can play it alone,” Ishizaki said.
When asked by IGN if the game can be played by two players, Ishizaki responded, “No, it’s one-player or three-player.”
Ishizaki also confirmed that the enemy’s health pool will increase depending on whether the game is played in single player or trio.
“The reason we went with a three-player approach was that we wanted to retain that feeling of accomplishment that you get from fighting a boss together or conquering a map together and that feeling of enjoyment, but we wanted to recreate that in a new way.” . shape. And we felt that focusing on a three-player cooperative experience would provide a new sense of accomplishment.”
A network test for Elden Ring: Nightreign will take place in February.
