The game‘s Update Update (Title Update 8), launching on January 16, will include some of the most sought-after community requests, according to publisher EA.

EA said players can expect to see:
- Major updates to core game systems such as passing, shooting, goalkeeping, and defense.
- More fluid game offensively that allows you to move the ball more easily.
- Reduced AI tacklebacks and interceptions.
- Fixed issues such as defenders catching up to dribblers too often.
- Updated Rush Club quest in Football Ultimate Team.
EA Sports FC 25 was the best-selling game of the year in Europe, according to official sales data published today on VGC.
However, the series had a slightly softer launch this year, with sales of EA Sports FC 25 falling 5% compared to what FC 24 achieved during the same period.
In the US, EA Sports FC 25 topped the September software chart after a record launch, according to data from market research firm Circana.
The game saw double-digit percentage growth compared to EA Sports FC 24 during its launch month in September 2023.
That was enough for it to record the highest dollar sales in a US launch month of any soccer game released to date.
Circana is scheduled to report U.S. sales data for December and full year on Jan. 23.
