EA Delists Mirror's Edge and Multiple Battlefield Games

Electronic Arts (EA) has recently announced its plans to delist Mirror’s Edge and several Battlefield games, including Bad Company 1 & 2 and Battlefield 1943. This news comes as a disappointment to many fans who have enjoyed playing these games for years. In this article, we will discuss what this delisting means for players, the reasons behind it, and the impact it has on the gaming industry.

According to a blog post published by EA, the delisting will happen on April 28, 2023. After this date, these games will no longer be available for purchase on digital storefronts. In addition, the online services for these titles will be closed on December 8, 2023. This means that players won’t be able to play these games online or access online features like leaderboards and matchmaking.

Offline Playability

Although these games will no longer be available online, players will still be able to enjoy the single-player campaign of Mirror’s Edge and the other three titles using their offline features. This is good news for fans who have played and enjoyed these games in the past and wish to continue doing so.

Reasons Behind the Delisting

DICE, the EA studio responsible for developing these games, stated that the delisting is part of their plan to focus on current and future Battlefield experiences. The delisting of these games allows them to shift their focus towards developing new titles and creating new experiences for players.
