Diablo 4’s first livestream of the year is coming next week and will be all about Season 7 and its new questline.

The developers at Blizzard have returned from the holidays to offer some news to all the Diablo 4 players eager to find out more about the next season of the game. Season 7 begins the day Season 6 ends, January 21, so it’s time for the team to get together and talk a little.

The more formal developer update will return next week, offering one last look at new Season 7 content before it arrives next week.

Diablo 4 January Developer Update is scheduled for Thursday January 16 in 11am Pacific, 2pm Eastern, 7pm UK. The main goal of this is to preview all the remaining details about the upcoming Season 7, which includes the new seasonal questline.

You may remember that Blizzard revealed pretty much all of the major details about Season 7 in a livestream that preceded a proper PTR that took place in December. This is because Season 7 will also be released with Patch 2.1, which is important enough to warrant its own testing environment.

Being a witch and using witch powers is the main theme of this one, which Blizzard had to spoil well in advance because of the way the new mechanics intersect with the existing game.

In addition to the new gems, sorcery powers, and new questline/faction, Season 7 also brings several important adjustments to the overall game. Ultimate abilities are improving across the board and we’ll finally be able to save loadouts for each character.

While it’s unclear which members of the development team will be present in this developer update, the Q&A, which takes place at the end of the show, will return. I also imagine there may be some things we still don’t know about season 7, which is another thing we hope this livestream fixes as well.
