Night City will arrive in Nintendo, with the news that Cyberpunk 2077 will be a Switch 2 release title.
Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition, to give it its full name, will reach Switch 2 on June 5. “We hope to welcome Nintendo players in neon lights and Night City shootings,” wrote the Cyberpunk 2077 team on social networks.
Cyberpunk 2077 first launched into a somewhat unfortunate state in 2020. The launch of the game was fogged with faults and errors so extreme that Sony even went so far as to eliminate Cyberpunk 2077 of PlayStation Store. According to the Vice President of Public Relations and Communication of CDPR Micha & Lstrok; Platkow-Gilewski, actually became “something great to not like” after its launch.
Since then, however, the game has had a massive change in the opinion and popularity of the player, with an update of bumper 2.0 and an expansion starring Idris Elba known as Phantom Liberty that impresses fans.
In October 2023, CDPR announced that it had changed 25 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077, while Phantom Liberty sold 3M copies in its first week of launch. A sequel is now in development.
Together with Cyberpunk 2077, the Divide Fiction of Hazelight will also be a Switch 2 launch title, as well as the next entry in the Mario Kart series, now officially known as Mario Kart World.
Other titles also confirmed for the platform include Elden Ring, Hollow Knight: Silksong, James Bond game of IOI and the Final Fantasy 7 remake, although they will not be available at the launch of the console.
