The dear 8 -bit isometric puzzle platform head is back and (not for the first time) receiving remake treatment, bringing “modern colorful images” and “refined game” when it comes to PC and change at the end of this year.
Ocean Software’s original head was developed by Ocean Software and released for several platforms, including ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64, in 1987. He chose players like Head and Heels, two interstellar spies in a mission to free the planets from an evil emperor.
All this was developed in 300 isometric rooms, with players who need to use the slightly different skills of the head and heels to overcome the obstacles, including, famous, a dalek with the head of the (then) Prince Charles, and set up his escape from Castle Blacktooth.
Head Over Heels is loved enough to have a remake; This initial 2003 update brought substantially reviewed images in a version that would later reach PC and Switch. Now, however, you are ready to get a more faithful head of the head: Deluxe.
Head Over Heats: The most obvious difference of Deluxe is his art style, which adheres much more to the art images of pixels of the original 1987. It also presents a new soundtrack composed of fractal spaces, “re -entry controls that feel agile and precise”, multiple stored points, three levels of difficulty, clues and selectable game speeds.
In addition to that, there is a new world to explore, complete with new enemies and objects (including chickens!), By carrying the total number of “majestic” locations up to 500. And for those who expect something a bit more traditional, it is possible to change to graphics in “classic” way and sound closer to the 8 -bit original.
Head Over Heels: Deluxe is developed by Rusty Pixels and Ogre Games Ltd and launches on Steam this Thursday, March 6. A change version must be arrived at the end of this year.
