General Brett Veach manager said Tuesday that Kansas City bosses are planning for Travis Kelce to play in 2025, adding the closed veteran wing “has that fire and desire to play.”
“The way we went to the end of the season is that it was excited,” said Veach in the exploration harvester in Indianapolis. “I think we left it when I would return and we were excited to recover and get it. ”
Coach Andy Reid, also speaking in The Combine, was less definitive about Kelce’s future. Reid said he told Kelce after the defeat of the Super Bowl of the Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles to escape and relax before making the decision on whether to play another season or retire from football.
“For now, I think that’s what Reid said.
Kelce, 35, said in multiple interviews the week of the Super Bowl that was intended to play again in 2025. But it was less definitive about his future in the days after the game in his “New Heights” podcast.
“I know everyone wants to know if I am playing next year and at this time, I’m just kicking everything along the way,” Kelce said on February 12 in his podcast. “I’m kicking every can I can on the road. I am not making crazy decisions.”
Kelce has a bonus of the $ 11.5 million list on March 15 that will trigger in the last year of his contract. But Veach said there is no deadline for Kelce to make his decision.
