The Miami field marshal, Cam Ward, says he is not launching the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, but will go through the interview process.
“I think my five years of cinema show everything I can do,” Ward said on Friday. “I throw here in the harvester will not move the needle in any way.”
Ward pointed out the first game of the Miami season against Florida and the 39-38 victory that comes from carefully California as games that best show their talent.
Ward is in competition with former Colorado Campo Marshal, Shedeur Sanders, to be the first signal call selected in the Draft. The two are training together in Dallas with private seafood coach Darrell Colbert Jr.
Ward, a heisman trophy finalist, said he is the best field marshal in the Draft because his mentality and approach separate him from everyone else. He added that he met with the Tennessee Titans, who have the number 1 team, but that it does not matter if he is the first selected player.
“Whether it goes in the first round or the second round, at the end of the day, that draft selection means nothing,” Ward said. “It’s about establishing once you have the opportunity.”
Ward spent a season with hurricanes and ended with 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns, both school records of a single season.
