Bill Belichick suggests that the Super Bowl trophy is named Tom Brady

The Super Bowl trophy is named Vince Lombardi, the legendary coach of the Green Bay Packers who took his team to victories in the first two Super Bowls.

However, Bill Belichick said the coaches cannot win games without the players and suggested that the Lombardi trophy be renamed after Tom Brady, who won a record of seven NFL Super Bowl rings in his career, six with Belichick as chief coach.

Belichick, the former head of the New England Patriots who is now the coach of the University of North Carolina, made his comments about the “Come on!” Podcast this week in a conversation with Coanfrerion Jim Gray.

“Maybe they should name the Brady trophy. He won seven of them.”

“The players win games. You can’t win games without good players. I don’t care who the coach is, it’s impossible. You can’t win without good players. You know, I discovered it when I had done it. [Lawrence] Taylor and [Carl] Banks and Harry Carson, Pepper Johnson, Jim Burt, Everson Walls, all those types of giants, “said Belichick, who has won eight Super Bowl rings, including two as an assistant with the giants.” And the same when we got good in Cleveland and then in New England. I mean, it is [Tom] Brady, it is [Willie] McGINET, is [Mike] VRABEL, is [Tedy] Bruschi, is Corey Dillon, is Randy Moss, Troy Brown, lawyer Milloy, Ty Law, Rodney Harrison. Those are guys who won the games, man. I did not cocked. I didn’t kick. That was [Adam] Vinatieri who kicked 4 inches of snow.

“You have to have good players and, as a coach, you want to give your players the opportunity to win. You want to put them in a position in which if they go out and play well, they will have the opportunity to win. That is what coach [Bill] Parcells taught me, is there always a way to win? You just have to find out what it is, and you have to give the players a chance. “

Gray, however, said: “The Starr Trophy” does not name it, referring to Bart Starr, the Packers Marshal for those first two profits of the Super Bowl. “It’s called the Lombardi trophy.”

Belichick replied: “Maybe they should name the Brady trophy. He won seven of them.”

Brady won six Super Bowls as a field marshal with the Patriots and another with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It is five times MVP of the Super Bowl, the most important for any player in the history of the NFL.
