Barcelona passed to Osasuna in a 2-0 victory at home on Thursday, ensuring that they have a three-point advantage in the race for the title of the League before another fundamental weekend in a career closely expelled for the first place.

The hosts scored the lonely goals of the game quite early, with Ferran Torres opening the score in the 11th minute. Dani Olmo continued with a penalty only 10 minutes later, ensuring that Barcelona would be in cruise control over the rest of the game. They surpassed Osasuna from 19 to three and did not face a single shot in the target throughout the game, doing so without Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha when they returned from the international service with Poland and Brazil, respectively. However, Lewandowski left the bank to score the third goal of the game in the 77th minute.

This game was reprogrammed earlier this month, with the league, opting to postpone the game after the sudden death of the doctor of the Barcelona team, Carles Minarro García, so it was played as soon after the conclusion of the international rest.

These are the most notable moments of the game.

Moment of the party

Barcelona marked the tone early when Torres scored only 11 minutes, finishing a good team goal that reflected the ease with which they have played in times this season. The credit must go to Alejandro Balde, who played a fantastic ball in the goal that allowed Torres to score from short distance.

Party man

Out of scoring the game’s opening goal, Torres remained occupied during much of its 68 -minute shift on Thursday. He took four shots and generated 1.18 expected goals on his own, a considerable fraction of 3.19 xg that the team boasted for the final whistle, everything while continuing to demonstrate its value as a valuable attack option even when Lewandowski and Raphinha could not start on Thursday.

What this result means for Barcelona

Barcelona has now played the same number of games as its opponents in the League and have a three -point advantage in second place, Real Madrid. His leadership about Atlético de Madrid is in seven points with 10 games to go in the season.

What follows?

Barcelona returns to the League on Sunday when they face the 13th place Girona and then play in the second section of the semifinals of the Copa del Rey against Atlético de Madrid after playing with a 4-4 draw in the first leg in February.
