In the biggest surprise of the NFL honors of the NFL on Thursday night in New Orleans, the field marshal of the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen, exceeded the predominant trend to overcome the field marshal of the Baltimore Ravens, Lamar Jackson , by the most valuable players of the NFL of Associated Press.

Although Allen followed Jackson in almost all the main statistical categories, the predominant narrative was that Bills’s QB achieved more with less. After losing their two main receptors, Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, Allen took the Bills to the Title of the AFC East and the second best record in the AFC (13-4).
Allen became the first player in NFL’s history to register at least 25 TouchDown passes, 10 TouchDown races and less than 10 interceptions in a season. It ended with 28 TouchDown passes, 12 touchdowns by land and 6 interceptions. By winning the MVP trophy, it also collected a $ 1.5 million bonus.
“The leadership of Josh Allen, his consistent leadership, was the main reason why we did what we did this season,” said the Bills coach, Sean McDermott, during the season. “So, anyone who tries to say otherwise, I know better. I have seen it, and he now does that every season for us, not an easy company, but he is and was the reason, his leadership, his game …. He was connected to his leadership level in our football team.
Jackson left the NFL honors program with empty hands despite presenting its best statistical season, registering numbers that were superior to their MVP seasons in 2019 and 2023. He took his game to another level in his seventh season of the NFL , establishing career maximums with 4,172 yards and 41 touchdown passes. When taking the Ravens to their first number 1 ranking in the offensive, Jackson became the first player in the history of the League to produce more than 4,000 yards passes and 900 yards by land in the same season.
His rating of 119.6 of Pins was the fourth highest in the history of the NFL and followed only Aaron Rodgers (122.5 in 2011 and 121.5 in 2020) and Manning (121.1 in 2004). Rodgers and Manning won MVP in those seasons.
Offensive player of the year
The Saquon Barkley corridor limited a remarkable first season in Philadelphia by becoming the first Eagles player to win the award.

Sortain received 26 votes in the first place, surpassing the Bengals Edge Rusher Trey Hendrickson (11) and Browns Edge Myles Garrett (5).
Sortain thanked his parents, his father, Patrick Sortin Sr., is a former NFL corner for “establishing the plan and turning a young man into an adult man.” He also thanked the Broncos, while Denver’s coach Sean Payton, nodded at the audience, “for believing in me, trusting me, allowing me to grow and be the player I am today.”
Offensive rookie of the year
The field marshal of the commanders Jayden Daniels completed one of the most impressive debut seasons of the NFL by winning the prize.
When taking Washington to his best season in more than three decades, Daniels transformed a team of 4-13 to one that ended 12-5 in the regular season, guiding the commanders to the NFC championship game.
He is Washington’s first player to win from the field marshal Robert Griffin III in 2012.
The number 2 selection in the 2024 Draft, Daniels became the first rookie in the history of the League to launch for more than 3,500 yards and run for more than 800 yards in a season. He helped the commanders score an average of 28.5 points, which are the most for a team with a rooky field marshal.
Daniels received 49 of the 50 votes first with the other going to the closed wing of Los Vegas Raiders, Brock Bowers. Broncos QB Bo Nix finished third in the vote.
Daniels also won the award at the time of the year for his launch of Hail Mary to defeat the Bears in November.
Defensive rookie of the year

The prize was announced by Randy Moss, who sent a message recorded in gratitude video while undergoing cancer treatment.
The Receiver of the Hall of Fame thanked doctors and fans for their support. The crowd chew Moss when a video of his career was reproduced during the show.
Coach of the year
In this third season with the Vikings, Kevin O’Connell won the prize after taking Minnesota to 14 victories.
This occurred after the first round of the Vikings, the field marshal JJ McCarthy, suffered a knee injury that ended the season in August and the team had a total prediction of pre -season victories of 6.5.
O’Connell guided Minnesota to fifth at the conference and was a victory of the best NFC seed after ESPN Analytics gave the Vikings a 24% probability of making the postseason.

Other awards:
