According to the reports, Call of Duty veteran shot by 2K after the silenced response to the project of the “Hero Roguelike” project

According to the reports, Call of Duty Michael Condrey has been fired as head of 2K Games Studio 31st Union after his debut project, Project Free-To-Play Hero Shooter Ethos, received a silenced response in his revelation at the end of the last year.

Condrey, who co -founded Call of Duty Sledgehammer Games, confirmed that he led the 31 2K union in 2019. A year later, Condrey made fun of that the study was working on a new IP “ambitious and inspired”, but not It was until last October that the game, now known as Project Ethos, was finally revealed.

Project Ethos was officially described as a free “Roguelike Hero Shooter”, and presented a colorful art style that reminds of Blizzard’s Overwatch. Unfortunately, its presentation occurred only months after the consumer’s apathy led to the rapid disappearance of the PlayStation Concord, and it seems that there was not much enthusiasm for the spirit of the project either.

In a new Kotaku report, the sources claim the ethos of the project, which is said to face a “defiant and difficult development cycle” under Condrey, revealed “little fanfare or apparent interest of players.” That apparently caused a chain of events that led Condrey’s informed dismissal as Chief of Study of 31st Union earlier this week.

In a statement provided to Kotaku, 2K confirmed Condrey’s departure as the 31st president of the Union, saying that “he would transition his role in the short term to focus on advising on the future of the spirit of the project.” The editor also insisted that he is still “very committed to the way forward for the spirit of the project and the people and culture of the 31st study of the Union.”

“We are grateful to Michael Condrey,” he added, “for the dedication, passion and ethics of work that was needed to build an incredible team and shape the 31st union vision.”

2K, of course, has packed the list of important releases in the next 12 months, with civilization 7, Borderlands 4, Mafia: The Old Country, Bioshock Ken Levine’s Judas and Rockstar Games Behemoth Grand Theft Auto 6 all on the road.
