The creator of Gotham Knights was looking to create a brand-new game that would bring the DC Comics universe into the interactive realm, according to a job posting for a lead gameplay programmer. Knowing the Unreal Engine 4 and 5 game engines would be a plus for the candidate, according to the list of necessary knowledge and abilities.

This information was confirmed by the LinkedIn profile of Bryan Theberge, senior producer at WB Games Montreal Inc., which states that the studio behind Gotham Knights has officially begun production on its next game. Which will also be set in the DC universe.

The unannounced project began filming in December 2022. Theberge has taken on the role of senior producer for the new DC game once more. He led production groups from high-level mandates to daily low-level objectives such as dealing with roadblock issues, staff issues, production problem-solving, recruitment, and pipelines while working on Gotham Knights.
