Apprentice: The best Celtic performance I have seen since the last UEFA Cup season in 2003. Defensively we were stiff. Cameron Carter-Vickers is the best defender we have had at the club since Virgil Van Dijk. Kuhn is doing an incredible job of proving last season’s skeptics wrong. I dare say we can have our eye on the top eight.
Craig: It was a beautiful and magical night. From the sound of the Champions League anthem until the final whistle, the stadium shook and the players were there. A memorable Champions League night that we hadn’t seen in many years. Not only the result but the performance.
Daithi: What an incredible performance from Celtic. They finally appeared in a Champions League tie. They were clinical in passing and closing down their opponents when necessary. Kuhn was unplayable. His shot at the first goal would have been talked about all night if it had been Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo who had scored. Perfect performance from everyone in this great Celtic team.
Andy: The best Celtic display I have seen since the days of Chris Sutton, Henrik Larsson and co. The management of the game in the second half was incredible. Now we need to consolidate this by picking up three points against Brugge.
Pablo: The team has matured and continues to improve. They learn their lessons from poor performances and correct their deficiencies with good training, dedication, and a tremendous work ethic.
Alan: Excellent performance from Celtic! Across Europe some eyebrows will be raised.
Russell: The team played with a confidence and maturity that belied the fact that Dortmund had won comfortably and Leipzig were shaping up to do something similar. It’s a credit to Celtic that they dominated all but 10 minutes of the game and could have scored five or six.
nickie: Impressive performance. I thought it was going to go from bad to worse when we lost 1-0. Kuhn is a great player.
John: It’s great to see the manager learn from his mistakes in Dortmund and put in a performance where the team attacked when opportunities arose and had possession in a professional manner, to the point where the opposition ran out of ideas in the final 10 minutes.
Judas: The best European performance since the early 1990s. All the players shined and were congratulated for maintaining their style of play against a top German team.
Edward: A true test of the team’s character and faith to go from behind and come back to dominate the game and record a convincing victory. Leipzig’s players were exhausted with 10 minutes remaining, torn by the pace of Celtic’s play. It was a pleasure to see the one-touch pass.
