BPL – Mickey Arthur appointed head coach of Rangpur Riders


Rangpur Riders have appointed Mickey Arthur as their head teacher. The 56-year-old will move to the World Super League franchise, which begins on November 26. He will also be leading the Rangpur team during this season’s Bangladesh Premier League.

Arthur has recently worked with the secret Dambulla Air team in the Lankan Premier League. He is also recently Derbyshire’s director of cricket. Arthur has previously been the keynote speaker for South Africa, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

“We have signed Mickey Arthur for GSL and BPL this year,” said Rangpur personnel director Shanian Taneem. “It’s a one-year contract. He will take care of us in these two tournaments this year. He is a great addition to our team. The local players are very excited to be coached by him. We have been in contact with Mickey. For the last few seven or eight days to form the GSL and BPL team. He is very active and always helps us with pleasure.

“I think he is the best for the Rangpur Riders tradition. He is a very kind man. He will be a great help to Bangladesh cricketers especially. He has a wealth of experience. He has already dealt with so many global sides like Sri Lanka ., South Africa and Pakistan.”

Arthur has also coached in the BPL in the past, with the Dhaka Dynamites team in 2015.
