Australia’s most recent T20I captains, Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head, are unavailable, as is ODI and Check out captain Pat Cummins. Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa, Matthew Shorten and Aaron Hardie have been captains within the BBL generation. Josh Inglis could also be a strong candidate as his management and tactical awareness are popular after being vice-captain of the Perth Scorchers.
Bartlett, Ellis and Johnson are recovering from trauma after the fiery UK tour, where they were ruled out for various problems. Johnson returned to local cricket on Friday when he played in South Australia’s One-Moment Cup clash against Queensland.
Bartlett (lateral pressure) and Ellis (hamstring) took longer to recover but are expected to be fit for the three-match form which starts on November 14 and ends on November 18.
