A fan of Elden Ring has meticulously and artistically handcrafted a miniature of the famous Leyndell Royal Capital, complete with a tiny Goldmask.
A Leyndell Royal Capital miniature has been meticulously recreated by hand by an Elden Ring admirer. Elden Ring’s Leyndell is a crucial location because it contains the Erdtree and several of the toughest boss battles. Despite being similar to some Lord of the Rings locations or even Anor Londo from Dark Souls, the setting is instantly recognizable and well-known for its beauty.
Players can cautiously explore the lovely city of Leyndell or imprison a large dragon in a building thanks to the city’s dense population and abundance of buildings. Elden Ring uses clever etymological namesakes for places, characters, and items, just like its Soulsborne forebears. The uncommon name Lyndell, which means “linden tree hill” and the linden tree’s significance in producing nectar necessary for honey production, could be seen as a mutation of the name Leyndell. A motif seen in the Leyndell, which houses the golden Erdtree, and the roofs of the Royal Capital.
Sky Burkson, an admirer of Elden Ring and a skilled hand-cut paper miniaturist, has meticulously recreated a section of that city with the recognizable golden roofs. The segment has several intricate layers and is primarily constructed from paper, pieces of basswood, toothpicks, clear resin, and floral wire. Even the city’s sewers are depicted in the sculpture, which also features a stray fingercreeper that has been observed in the wild. Being true to its “miniature” moniker and resembling Elden Ring itself, the model has numerous small, minute details, such as a tiny Goldmask in the distance, that call for close inspection.

The design sketches, which were also shared by Sky Burkson on Twitter, are exquisite in their own right and, for many people, could pass for a finished work of art. The dedication put into the Leyndell model shows how influential the twenty million copies sold Elden Ring has proven to be, even though the miniaturist has lent their talented hands to creating other incredible models for games like Breath of the Wild and Hollow Knight. This book’s strong fan support and following make it an instant classic. It can be assumed that fans will continue to pay tribute to Elden Ring in these incredible fan-made creations for years to come, much like other instant classics like Final Fantasy 7.
In a similar vein, a fan created incredible miniatures of Corhyn and Radagon from the Elden Ring last year. The Leyndell miniature and the characters’ sizes probably don’t match because they were created by two different artists, but when combined, they inspire the idea of an Elden Ring board game with intricate and detailed imagery. It might only be a matter of time before someone creates a miniature to compete with the official board game release, given the promise of DLC in the future, the success of Elden Ring, and the ongoing dedication of talented fans.
Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
