Shake West Indies selected to throw towards Sri Lanka
The West Indies won the toss and put Sri Lanka into bat in the third and final ODI at Pallekele. Sri Lanka have built up an unassailable 2-0 lead in the order, but this would be the first time they will bat first on what is expected to be another spin-friendly pitch.
“I was very impressed,” captain Charith Asalanka said of Madushka at the toss. “He didn’t play as a debutant, he played like a mature player. I think he will do a lot of things for the country.”
It’s a new pitch being used in the sport today, with slightly level square obstacles on all sides at 69 and 71 metres. Spin will be offered but on the slower side, although the ball may slide more directly towards the bat once the elements cool at night. There is a possibility of fog occurring throughout the game process.
