As the Vikings drove down the field in the third quarter, Sam Darnold appeared deep on the left side of the field for their WR1. Jefferson tried to spin the football using only his left hand since he was being held, but he spun it in the wind. He moved closer to the loose pigskin with his right hand toward the hoof and maintained control with two toes turned inward.

This reception gave Jefferson his thirty-first 100-yard receiving game. That surpasses the legendary Randy Moss for the most 100-yard receiving games in the last five seasons. After all, Jefferson is no stranger to absurd catches. He made what will remain one of the highest catches in history on a fourth-and-18 during a 2022 shootout in Buffalo.
Jefferson came in eighth with 531 receiving yards on 33 receptions. His 97.4 receiving yards in the game coming into this matchup rank first in NFL history.
