Former Republic of India wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel is all set to join the Gujarat Titans training squad. ESPNcricinfo has learned that Parthiv will play more than one role, including that of a staff tutor in the back-up staff team led by Ashish Nehra, apart from being one of their scouts.
This is the main coaching role in the IPL for Parthiv, who retired in 2020. Former South African batsman Gary Kirsten, who shared coaching duties with Nehra at the Titans between 2022-24, has left the upcoming IPL 2024 to join Pakistan’s white-ball tutor.
