South Australia 314 (Hunt 136, McInerney 51, Whitney 5-57) and 352 during December 9 (Carey 123*, McSweeney 72) won queensland 308 (Peirson 94, McDermott 52) and 229 (Clayton 91, McAndrew 5-38) in 129 runs
Renshaw looked like he had little desire to play McAndrew’s supply outside off stump, but he misjudged his reserve strength and took the ball straight to Carey, who then compiled 21 runs.
Bulls captain Marnus Labuschagne said Renshaw’s errors had not helped his Test motive, but added that not all of them were offside.
“I certainly think that counts against him. If other guys are making runs and it’s going to be a tough call, it’s always going to work out that way,” Labuschagne mentioned.
“That doesn’t mean I can’t hit well in the next two games.”[de Shield]and maybe change people’s opinions or views.”[Shield[gamesandmaybechangepeople’sopinionsorviews”[Shield[gamesandmaybechangepeople’sopinionsorviews”
Watch opener Usman Khawaja (39) joined Renshaw in the pavilion, also approaching Carey without kicking as Queensland chased 359 for victory.
Labuschagne (10) and Ben McDermott (0) were sidelined on all sides at lunch as the hosts stumbled to 79 for 4.
Debutant Lachlan Hearne (44) and Jack Clayton (91) put the Bulls back in with 106 runs standing for the fifth wicket.
Wicketkeeper Jimmy Peirson (10) was unlucky to get caught on the back of a lifter from speedster McAndrew as South Australia turned the screw to bowl out Queensland for 229.
McAndrew completed a stellar match and then took three wickets in the first innings and made an important 46 in the second dig.
Carey was named a contestant. His 42 consecutive innings of unbeaten 123 sealed his magnificence, and the Test gloveman took 10 catches, including seven in the second innings.
“He’s been excellent for us since returning from Test duties,” said South Australia captain Nathan McSweeney.
“Last week he also scored 90 and 100 for us. The way he plays and his runs win games.
“It’s never easy to come here to Queensland and be successful. This game has been great for our team’s morale. After going through some tough years, hopefully it’s the start of a great time for us.”
