The Sims 4 Ghostly Update Puts WooHoo-ing the Grim Reaper Back on the Tabletop

The Sims 4 team has created a well-timed spooky update for their life simulation game, which specializes in the afterlife and lets us get sick and dirty with the Grim Reaper again.

This base game update is available on all platforms and also allows you to create ghost characters (from children and up) in the Build a Sim menu. Right here, you’ll be able to select how your Sim died, and other deaths will grant “unique abilities” to the ghosts.

Those spectral Sims may have a set of unused wishes, different from those of living Sims. Those wishes come with: Sticky Waste, Aerial Sustenance, Otherworldly Eyes Shut, Spooky Detours, Aerial Bond, and Apparition Cleansing. If a Sim must die during the game, you will find a way to secure them as a playable person or instead make them a “free” ghost.

Continuing with the theme of death, Sims now even have distinctive reactions to the death of any other Sim. This holds enough tears if Sim’s corpse used to be someone similar and loved, or just straight up vomits if the connection isn’t strong.

And, if a Sim leaves and the game’s ever-important Grim Reaper shows up, you’ll now be able to WooHoo the Soul Collector once again.

Full details of this The Sims 4 update, which also includes an unused Merfolk urn and tombstone for those players with the Island House expansion, as well as numerous worm cures and more, can also be found through EA.

Earlier this month, EA lifted the lid on the Time & Death expansion for its Sims 4, which arrives on October 31. This expansion will expand everything from unused neighborhoods where the boundaries between housing and the dead are especially tight, to an unused grim reaper occupation and the ability for ghosts to WooHoo on small and large objects.
