A Nintendo Switch user has posted data that sheds more light on Nintendo’s upcoming Switch Online playtest program.
The following article contains spoilers: players who have registered for the trial and do not want to know what is included until its launch should no longer read.
The trial, which was announced yesterday, is simply called ‘Nintendo Switch Online: Trial Program’ and will be available between October 24 and November 6.
Players who actually signed up for the mystery trial were sent documentation on the program, including some sort of items needed for those who wish to participate.
This is a requirement to keep the contents of the check hidden. The website says: “We ask that you do not discuss or disclose the content of the Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest program trial software or website with others.”
Despite this, user X Ethan_ThisGuy has shared images of the tool, which recently got an update.
The images, which have since been removed but have now begun to spread online, show what appears to be an MMO of sorts, in which players work together “to fully develop a large, expansive planet through the use of creativity.” and cultivated resources. ”.
“As you progress across the planet, you will discover new lands, enemies and resources that will be essential to your journey,” it reads.
The screenshots appear to show a game that looks similar to Minecraft, but with numerous ‘Beacons’ containing separate play terrains, located on a gigantic planet. “The higher your Beacon is placed, the wider your Beacon Zone becomes,” the app says.
It also features a separate section called Dev Core, which the game describes as “a social hub for meeting other players.” Provides: “In Dev Core, you can level up your character, obtain items you’ll need for your journey, communicate with others, and more.”
Despite Nintendo’s request, more players enrolled in the trial will most likely share information about it when it officially begins on Wednesday.
