Offer: Titans will start with Rudolph due to Levis’ illness vs. Bills

Levis suffered a bruised right shoulder while diving due to a primary injury in Tennessee’s Hour 4 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Assets told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the concussion is a Grade 2 AC sprain in the shoulder and could sideline Levis beyond Sunday’s game. It is considered a four to five week surprise, and if Levis has had accidents in the present, this could be a week to week situation.

The Titans said Trevor Siemian was promoted from the watch team to Sunday’s game-day roster and will return to the watch team closer to the game.

Levis was set to start in the team’s Hour 6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts closer to halftime. But he said the surprise limited him on some of his shots, particularly a cross that was intercepted by Colts defenseman Julian Blackmon.

Levis was limited in practice Wednesday, but was upgraded to full player Thursday. Rudolph and Levis shared snaps on the track on Friday. The Titans listed Levis as questionable, the closest he came to being restricted once again on Friday.

Rudolph, a seven-year veteran, replaced Levis against the Dolphins and led the team to a 31-12 victory. He completed with 85 passing yards. It was the Titans’ most comfortable victory this season and the first generation in which the team scored more than 30 points since January 2, 2022, when it beat Miami 34-3.

On Saturday, the Titans also placed wide receiver Treylon Burks on the injured list and signed defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson to the active watch team roster.

NFL reporter Paul Kuharsky was the first to record Rudolph’s information.
