Cryptic Studios is losing an unspecified selection of activity in a round of unused cuts.
As Sport Developer noted, several of the developers affected by the layoffs have mentioned the layoffs on LinkedIn. It is not transparent since when the workers were informed or how many were affected. The latest affected builders say they will finish on October 31.
“Unfortunately, October will be my last month at Cryptic Studios,” famous artist Amelia March explained at the end of her last generation. “Many of my talented coworkers and I have been affected by the most recent layoffs at the company. One of the main reasons I got into game development was to work alongside such amazing and passionate people, and I’m proud to be able to do it. “I can say I’ve been able to do that for six years. “I truly wish all the best to my fellow Cryptonians and everyone in the gaming industry in general facing the same thing.”
“I will be leaving Cryptic Studios at the end of this month,” Mauricio Tejerina wrote that same month. “I am part of a layoff along with other talented people who have become my family over the last 10 years.
“I’m still hopeful that everyone affected by the layoffs will find new career opportunities. For now, it’s important to remind ourselves that we are not responsible for this outcome. We are dedicated, hard-working game developers who just need the right opportunity to keep doing what we do.” we know how to do better.”
Other developers, such as Randy Habenicht and Julia Frederickson, also took to LinkedIn to discuss their layoffs a few weeks ago.
It is not transparent whether many of these builders were affected by the same round of cuts, or whether the last affected workforce was laid off following a subsequent round of layoffs.
This is the second round of professional layoffs at the studio in less than a month. In November, an unspecified group of developers were hit by cuts at Cryptic Studios.
