Surprise’s Spider-Guy 2 Won’t Get “Additional Story Content,” Insomniac Confirms

Surprise’s Spider-Guy 2 won’t get “additional story content,” developer Insomniac has shown.

In a post on the PlayStation blog showing that the game is coming to PC in January, the developer made it clear that the game would get remaining story content, similar to Surprise’s unreleased Spider-Man game.

“While we have no additional story content planned for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we are excited to bring all of our previously released post-launch content to the PC version, including New Game+, new costumes and color variants, Photo Mode features , and more.”

The year the main game gained several shorter story expansions, the game’s largest story expansion eventually became its own game, Spider-Man: Miles Morales. A more spin-off title may be planned for Surprise’s Spider-Man 2.

Surprise’s Spider-Man 2 comes to PC on January 30. The game will be available on Steam and Epic Games Collect.

“Showing our characters to as many fans as possible, in the best way possible, are some of the reasons why they are so loved. In that spirit, we are excited to bring our Spider-heroes, their friends, and their super-villains to PC in the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,” said Eric Monacelli, Executive Producer at Surprise Games.

“The collaboration with Insomniac Games and PlayStation produced a timeless superhero video game classic that, thanks to Nixxes and the support of all teams involved, players can now experience on PC with exciting enhanced features.”
