Bookmakers pointed out suspicious betting patterns at the bottom of Porter’s stats in games in January and March. Porter, who had a two-way guarantee with the Raptors that year, exited the Jan. 26 game against the LA Clippers and the upcoming March 20 game against the Sacramento Kings in just a few minutes.
Porter pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit financial fraud on July 10 and is scheduled to be sentenced on December 18 in Greater York.
Two-way commitments are given to avid players who move back and forth between the G League and the NBA. Ten-day commitments allow teams to add players for up to 10 days or three games.
