Nabers, who missed the two-hour games due to a concussion, was a complete player in Thursday’s practice even though he is also known to be dealing with a groin illness. He met and was discharged by the nearest independent neurologist at the time.
It took three weeks for Nabers to clear protocol after being injured when his head collided with the turf in Thursday night’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 3.
Giants mentor Brian Daboll has said in the past that he was “optimistic” that Nabers, the team’s first-round pick of the past, would return in the future. The rookie receiver made his exit late in the future, when he could run some routes, but still failed to return in time for the game.
Nabers seemed excellent during the unmistakable portion of the hearing before reporters on Thursday. He made a pair of highly contested catches in 1-on-1 play, including when he jumped up and popped a cross over the head of cornerback Deonte Banks.

Nabers’ return should be a big boost for the Giants’ offense. He has been their X receiver and quarterback Daniel Jones’ check-in option, averaging 13 agitated targets per game.
“There’s no question he’s been a big part of our offense so far and someone we’ve counted on in a lot of places,” Jones said.
Nabers’ presence again surprises Darius Slayton in disagreement. 2 catcher’s spot and benches Jalin Hyatt. Hyatt has only one problem this season.
Slayton scored 11 goals in each of the two games without Nabers in the lineup.
The Giants’ biggest question heading into Sunday’s NFC East showdown against the Eagles is the fitness of defensive standout Dexter Lawrence (hip) and running back Brian Burns (groin). Each and every one of them sat down for a second time on Thursday immediately afterward.
Lawrence and Burns insisted Wednesday that they could play in the future. Quantity and effectiveness may be more relevant.
“I just know that they are not practicing [Thursday]”, mentioned Daboll. “We will optimistically see where they are [Friday]. With optimism they feel better [Friday].
