The Minecraft films team has released another trailer for the next film, which intends to awaken the appetite and emphasize the idea that creativity is key to survival. But that is not what everyone is talking about.
Rather, it is our first look at the representation of the Minecraft villagers movie that has caused a stir between, well, anyone who had to look at them.
These chaps have a fairly unusual appearance. “God has abandoned us,” said a social media commentator under a screenshot of the Minecraft Move villagers. Another added: “They seem square cousins of Cloucy’s father with the possibility of meatballs.”
You can see how the Minecraft movie villagers look at the trailer above.
And, only for posterity because it is one of those images that I cannot look at the other side even though I want to do it, here they are again on a trailer screen screen.
So what do you think?
“Four misfits,” explains the official propaganda if you are looking for more context in the next film, “they are fighting with ordinary problems when a mysterious portal in the Overworld is suddenly: a strange country of the cubic wonders that prosper imagination .
“Together, his adventure will challenge the five to be bold and meet again with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative … the skills they need to prosper in the real world.”
The Minecraft movie will be released this April. It stars Jack Black as Steve (which at this time seems to be Jack Black but with a blue shirt) and Jason Momoa like Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison.
Far from the big screen, a Minecraft animated series was also announced for Netflix in May. Netflix will produce the project together with Minecraft Mojang Studios developer, while Wildbrain Studios, the study behind Sonic Prime, will manage development.
While the thinnest details are thin on the ground, it is said that the next program “will present an original story with new characters, which shows the world of ‘Minecraft’ in a new light”.
