No Rest for the Wicked has been one of the most interesting releases of 2024. Although it was snubbed at many year-end awards, it is still an incredible title with an eclectic (and clever) mix of genres.
While developer Moon Studios released post-launch patches fairly quickly, things have slowed down considerably since then. The developer also stopped communicating as regularly as it did after launch, and with news of the closure of its publishing imprint, Private Division, many began to worry about the fate of Moon Studios and the game.
However, we shouldn’t have to worry anymore because the developer just delivered some long-awaited news.

In a post celebrating the studio’s achievements in 2024 and looking forward to 2025, No Rest for the Wicked’s Moon Studios recapped many of the major patches the game has received since the start of the Early Access journey in April. The publication also acknowledges that communication decreased towards the end of the year.
The developer confirmed that work continues on The Breach and the game‘s upcoming major updates. The best news is that we won’t have to wait much longer to find out what comes next for the action RPG.
“We know we’ve been quiet: a lot has happened for us at Moon Studios this year, and we’ll finally be able to share it all very soon!” the Twitter post says.
After the break, Moon Studios will return with an announcement in January, and the developer has promised to communicate with players more frequently and consistently. 2025 could be the year No Rest for the Wicked really turns heads with its anticipated co-op feature, new story content, and all the game‘s expected expansions.
