The first performance of Den of Wolves since its big reveal shows the roots of 10 Chambers’ Payday… but with a lot more sci-fi flair.

Den of Wolves, the upcoming sci-fi heist game from 10 Chambers, came out and suddenly appeared at The game Awards 2024. During the show we saw a new trailer for the game, as well as a tentative early access release date for 2025. . So, at the very least, we won’t have to wait until 2030 (although there are always delays…)

In the trailer we see high intensity action, we have a new beat track to go with it and we have what looks like a brain dive where the laws of physics have gone out the window. All in all, it’s a real sci-fi spin on the heist genre, which is supposed to be what the team is going for.

For those who don’t know, 10 Chambers is the studio behind GTFO, a fantastic cooperative horror shooter that built a loyal and vocal community. Made up of many members of Payday’s former team, the team appears to be returning to its roots a bit with Den of Wolves, as it leverages what it knows while also recruiting a wave of new talent.

It’s an exciting prospect, especially since a sizable portion of the Payday fanbase has been unimpressed by Payday 3.

While we don’t have a release date yet, or much more than a vague release window to go on, the game remains a ray of hope for FPS heist fans eager to jump into something new. Fingers crossed we’ll get more information in the near future.
