Fortnite Remix Finale breaks records with 14.3 million players in the game

Fortnite continues to break records with its crazy popular live events! Last night they had the Fortnite Remix Finale and a whopping 14.3 million players jumped into the game to watch it. This completely crushed their old record from the Travis Scott concert back in 2020, which had 12.3 million players. And that’s not counting the millions who watched it on Twitch and YouTube!

This event also surpassed other majors. More people watched this than the 9.8 million at the release of Times Square Remix, the 5.6 million for October’s Doctor Doom boss battle, and the 10 million at the end of last year’s The Big Bang. Only the 2020 Marvel Galactus event had more, with 15.3 million players.

The Finale Remix was a wild ride through the past and future of Fortnite. It began in the renovated headquarters of the Snoop Dogg Agency with nods to events like The Device from Chapter 2. Snoop, in the form of a skyscraper-sized cell, freestyled while players reviewed interstellar images. Then Eminem showed up, fighting a robot version of himself with the leader of Fortnite’s Mecha team. Anime vibes and action sequences throughout!

Ice Spice took this up a notch, performing on rooftops and then turning into a giant kaiju-like figure. And there was a super touching tribute to Juice WRLD, the first time Fortnite honored a deceased artist. Their hologram was featured with those iconic rift butterflies in the background and they premiered their music video for “Empty Out Your Pockets” in the game.

The event concluded with a preview of the future of Fortnite. Old hero Jones and new character Hope jumped into a rift with the Battle Bus and a part of the Zero Point, landing on a new Japan-inspired island for the next chapter, which begins today.

With this record-breaking event that combines nostalgia and new things, Epic Games proves that they are the masters of live gaming events, keeping millions hooked.
