1st quarter report
After a tough road loss in their last game, the Pistons look much better today on their home court. They have jumped out to a quick 29-22 lead against the Raptors.
The Pistons came into the game with three consecutive losses and are on their way to four. Can they turn things around or will the Raptors hand them another loss? Only time will tell.

What to know
The Raptors and Pistons are 5-5 against each other since January 2022, but not for long. After playing yesterday, the Toronto Raptors will hit the road to take on the Detroit Pistons at 7:00 pm ET on Monday at Little Caesars Arena. The Raptors are certainly hoping to end a 12-game road losing streak dating back to last season.
On Sunday, the Raptors finished well behind the Cavaliers and lost 122-108.
Even though they lost, the Raptors broke the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds (they rank second in offensive rebounds per game overall). These are the most offensive rebounds they have recorded since December 2023.
Meanwhile, the Pistons’ recent slump got a little tougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 111-100 to the Magic.
Toronto’s loss dropped its record to 4-13. As for Detroit, their loss dropped their record to 7-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: the Raptors have been breaking glass this season, averaging 45.8 rebounds per game. It’s not like the Pistons (currently in fourth place) are struggling in that department, though, as they’ve been averaging 47.2. With both teams struggling to corral missed shots, we’ll see if one team can take advantage.
The Raptors hope to beat the odds on Monday as experts believe they are headed for a loss. This contest will be their 12th consecutive contest as the underdogs (so far in this stretch they are 6-5 against the spread).
