Those who won an important prize in the NFL honors on Thursday night in New Orleans received additional jewels to show their great achievement.
The winners of the eight main awards received a personalized necklace to commemorate this season’s achievements. Leo Khusro, a jeweler who has worked with the nominees and winners of Thursday for years, created the personalized chains.
The front has the acronym for the award, while the back has the name and number of Jersey recorded on it along with the achievements of each player. The only exception was the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, which had an extended voting period.
Khusro told ESPN that the NFL contacted the collaboration to give this year’s winners a gift that goes beyond the trophies case.
“They decided to make the necklaces for these guys so they can use them in the games, they can use them throughout the season, they can use them in the day,” Khusro said. “It feels good to have it.”
The jeweler has a long history with some of the winners and nominees who were recognized on the largest NFL awards night.
Khusro made a piece for the corner of the Broncos de Denver, Pat Sortain II, the winner of the defensive player of this year, who looked like a PlayStation controller when Suratin was recruited in 2021.

He has also done an extensive work for the Campinnati Bengals field marshal, Joe Burrow, who became the second player to win multiple player of the year. Khusro made multiple necklaces for Burrow and also did the job in the piece of Santos Black Cartier Custom Burrow.
Each chain for this year’s NFL honors is 18 carat white gold with VVS quality diamonds that were to phones. Some of them also have additional unique characteristics.
The chain that the chief coach of the Minnesota Vikings Kevin O’Connell won for the coach of the year presented a whistle on the bond that connects the necklace with the pendant. The “O” block in Burrow’s “CPOY” chain has two arrows that resemble one inverse card.
Making the eight pieces for this year’s NFL honors required an adjusted deadline. Khusro said he had six days to finish all the necklaces in time for the Red Carpet Festivities on Thursday before the Super Bowl Lix. During telephone calls with the League, he said, there was also the idea of adding the names and achievements in pendants.
That meant signing a non -dissemination agreement to maintain private names and not reveal to the winners when I was with them at the Pro Bowl games last week in Orlando, Florida.
But Khusro was more than happy to keep the secret.
“It was so beautiful to see the person in front of me that I have known for so long has won a prize and it was, ‘I don’t want to ruin that moment for them,” Khusro said. “So I didn’t say anything.”
