The NFL 2025 draft will have the most athletic security in the history of the NFL Combine: Nick Emmanwori of South Carolina. In fact, it is one of the most athletic perspectives of all time in the officially registered combine era, which began in 1999.
With 6 feet 3 and 220 pounds, Emmanwori went crazy in the field inside the Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday night, running 4.38 seconds in the 40 -yard race with a division of 1.49 seconds of 10 yards. It had a vertical of 43 inches and a width jump of 11 feet and 6 inches. Both jumps place it in the 98th percentile in the security position.
It is what the product of South Carolina completely achieved what does, technically, the most athletic security we have seen in the harvester.
Emmanwori received a relative athletic score of 10.0 perfect in the strong security position. (RAS is an algorithm created by Kent Lee proposed that factors in height and weight along with the training figures of a potential client to assign a score of 1-10 to each prospect in each class).
Proposed added more context to Emmanwori’s weird on a separate tweet, writing the following:
Even in the supporter, which is where Emmanwori presumably will sometimes be displayed in the NFL, he is an elite caliber athlete. The same happens when aligning at an opposite end of the modern security spectrum, with free security.
And what is more convincing of this historical training: it coincides with what Emmanwori demonstrates in the film. It is far from being a prospect that simply pirate the system when finding the right coach to prepare for specific events in Indianapolis.
He had 85 cups as a first -year student in 2022. The following year, his Total Tackle fell to 71, but defended eight passes and hooked two selections. As a last year student, he had 88 demolition, three cups for loss and four interceptions, two of which returned to TouchDowns. Ah, and is only 21 years old.
Emmanwori entered the harvester as prospect number 26 (security number 2) in our CBS sports ranking. As for where he will go in the draft, our analysts have it in 18th place to the Seattle Seahawks and the 30 to the Buffalo Bills in their last simulated drafts.
